1. What is the difference of Wi-Max to Wi-Fi?
Wi-Max is the next generation of wireless instead of "Wi-Fi". It can connect you to the internet in faster speed and wider coverage compared to Wi-Fi that can only be connected on Hotspots.
2. What do I need to get connected? 
You will need your desktop or laptop computer and the wireless device (SOMA). The wireless device will be purchased as you apply for subscription.
3. Do I need to apply for phone-line or pay at MPTC?
Wi-Max is wireless technology, there¡¦s no need to apply for a phone line and pay to MPTC.
4. How to get the best signal for SOMA?
Wi-Max Technology is synonymous to the Mobile Technology. The signal depends on the location of the device. To have a good signal, place the SOMA device to places away form things that would obstruct the signal. Places near to windows, doors and other open areas. 

Also, check if there are buildings, trees and other facilities that hinder the signal. It may be the factor why the signal is diminishing. 

The distance from the Data Center is also one of the reasons why the signal is weak, if your location is near to the Data Center, chances are that you will have a strong signal. If it's quite far from the data center, it might be possible that the signal is weak. As the distance extends, the signal diminishes. 
5. Why speed test speed gives me a variety of result?
Speed testing programs has its own formula on how to calculate the connection speed. However there are factors that make you wonder why it does not give you a constant result. 

First thing to consider is the status of the File Server where your internet service is connected. Internet file server is catering a lot of connections which also varies from time to time, that's why the measurement that can acquire varies. 

You should also check you system specifications, if it's high, your connection will be probably fast. But if it's low, it will also be slow. 

Lastly, also check if you are running other programs and browsers that connects to the internet, if it's online it will also affect the speed of your internet. Therefore close all the programs and browsers that connects to the internet. After that, run the speed test again.
